ROM is a form of data storage in computer and other electronic devices that can not be easily reprogrammed.

RAM is referred to as volatile memory and is lost when the power is turned off whereas ROM in non volatile and the contents are retained even after the power is switched off.

=====================

=> ROM stands for Read Only Memory.

=> it is one of the part of primary storage device.

=> RAM being Random Access Memory takes few data and stores within them for temporary means till the program works and thus it soon erase all data. At the absence of power, it erases all data even if the programs are in working state. Thus it is a volatile memory.

=> ROM doesn't at all function like RAM rather
it stores data within it for primary basis and don't erase them until the user commands too.
They store data even when the program isn't working. At the absence of power, the data stored won't be deleted. Thus it is a non volatile memory.
