why roman people were called crowd of fickle minded people

supposing this is in reference to Julius Caesar
1. they got turned against Caesar by Brutus initially when he was bad mouthing Caesar.
2. Later When Antony (very cleverly) while mocking respect at Brutus told the Romans about all the good that Caesar did and what all he has left for the Romans and how everything he did was in their favour, They got turned yet again and now supported Caesar and started Mourning his death and Supporting Mark Antony.
This is fickle mindedness when I get turned in different direction of thoughts in only a little time.
