hi frnd here is ur ans, cow has a longer small intestine.... this is because it requires long small intestine to digest the cellulose which it gets from the plants it feeds on . Tiger (not a ruminant) needs smaller small intestine because the meat can easily be digested .

Feed on grass and green leaves which contain high amounts of cellulose.

This cellulose required more time to be digested.

So, for the ruminant animals have longer small intestine.

It will very helpful to the grass eating animals.

Example: Goat, cow...etc.
