Why S-block elements have low ionisation energy?

Ionisation energy is the amount of energy required to remove an electron from an isolated atom. Because s-block elements have either 1 or 2 electrons on their outermost shell so that they can easily lose 1 or 2 electrons to have nobel gas config. As such they have low ionisation energy.
