because acid + base =salt + water
neutralization reac
so ph of salt is 7 hence neutral

Anonymous: but for weak acid and strong base is also having the same formula but then the salt is not neutral
Anonymous: toh fr formula toh same h... is se kya pta chlega ki salt neutral h?

The ions from KCl derive from a strong acid (HCl) and a strong base (KOH). Therefore, neither ion will affect the acidity of the solution, so KCl is a neutral salt.
