When winds blow in deserts, they carry sand from one place to another. thus low and very less steep dunes are formed, known as the sand dunes.

SINCE ITS NAME ONLY IMPLIES "SAND DUNES" THAT ITS RELATED TO SAND AND SANDS ARE A MAJOR PART FOR THE FORMATION OF A DESERT.IN SHORT, SAND DUNES ARE HILLS OF SAND.THESE MIGRATE FROM PLACE TO PLACE WITH THE DIRECTION OF WIND.
