As saprophytes eat the dead and decaying matter , they also clean the environment.Bcz they also eat the waste material present in the environment.

saprophytes convert complex molecules into simpler ones and thus clean the environment.

to eg if there is glucose in good saprophytes convert them into simpler form that is carbon and hydrogen
