A Scalar quantity is a one dimensional quantity because as we know that Vector quantity has a magnitude whereas a scalar quantity has a magnitude but no direction. If something has a direction, it will definitely has more than one dimension. A scalar quantity for example 'distance', doesn't have a direction so it is possible it could have at least one dimension. Also a substance or anything cannot have no dimensions. A thing must have at least one dimension. Anything cannot exist if it doesn't have any dimensions. Therefore, scalar has no direction for it has at least one dimension.
