There may be different theories but there are two different words faith and believe.Faith means trusting something or somebody without any solid reason.Believe means trusting something with a solid reasons.Hence scientists have solid reasons behind every phenomenon, while the religious persons do have faith, they might not know the reason behind any phenomenon. For example the scientists think that the reason behind the origin of universe is BIG BANG while religious people think that God made universe. hence they have faith in God but don't have any solid reason that God made the universe while scientists have a proof of big bang.In short all I want to say is that scientists see nature as phenomenons while religious people see nature as God. Answer:

Well it is'nt the scientist do not believe in god. Some renowned names like Isaac Newton, Galileo Galilee etc did believe in the divine power. Infact they have mentioned the reference of the Bible in their inventions. Therefore, it would not be correct to group up the hard term like 'scientist' with one such belief.

It is in this modern era, where some scientist are considered to 'non-believers' of God.

Certainly there are contributing factors to such statistics, which would include the tendency of those who are atheists teach atheism in our universities and schools and this then feeds back in the next generations, resulting in a change in the culture. With that has been a drift towards scientism, the belief and hope that science has all the answers to life, replacing the personal God of the Bible. As Jerry Coyne seems to be saying, there is a clear boundary between true faith in the Creator God and what scientism has on offer. Science can explain how God’s laws work in the laboratory with repeatable experimental science, but it cannot explain what happened in the past. A worldview must first be assumed before the at-best-circumstantial evidence is interpreted to explain past events. Scientism then is a new religion.

Well, if you have watched'Mission Mangal' , might have observed a scene at the end when the preists are seen as performing the 'worship' before launch .[ that' s movie i understand , cannot be taken as 'truth , but happens in INDIA ]
