In most technical problems it is virtual incompressible.
There are, though, specific situations in which its compressibility must be considered. The most known situation is the water hammer, typically possible in hydroelectric power stations. At the end of the long pipes that let water move from the lake on top of the mountain to the turbines, closing too fast the valves can determine such terrific effect.

it not that it is incompressible but because it contains many impurities which makes seawater less compressible than the fresh water
