Secondary sector is also called industrial because the secondary sector is mostly associated with industries. The second sector produces usable and finished goods which are mostly produced in industries.

In secondary sector human activities transform raw materials into usable products which is mostly done in industries. For example, textile industry, steel industry etc. are secondary sectors.
