Why seeds with damage embryo do not germinated????

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER.....
It depends what is the extent of damage. In case embryonic shoot meristem is completely demaged embryo may not germinate. EMBRYO RESCUE is a much applied technique in plants to help embryos come up into plantlets. It is used for immature embryos that are generated in several crop improvement programmes involving interspecific hybrids etc. Such embryos/or seeds encapsulating them are too frail and seedlings donot come up if these are germinated conventionally in soil.
Embryo rescue process uses 'tissue culture/in vitro culture' embryo culture technique growing the embryo on a suitable medium under controlled conditions in a laboratory. The seedlings so obtained are hardened and grown in soil.
