why semi permeable
membrane act like both permeable and selectively permeable​

Answer:

the the cell membrane which is semi permeable it acts as permeable member and for the solvent particles such as water etc. it act as selectively permeable for some elements (ion )like Na+,k+etc.

As Semi-Permeable membrane doesn't exists in real life, Osmosis is occuring through it, selectively permeable membrane "chooses" what passes through. and permeable membrane allows everything to pass through it. Due to this property, Semi-Permeable membrane act like both of them.
