the British policy of economic exploitation of India was another important cause which affected all sections of society. pigeons and zamindars got angry on the Hai revenue demands and the various methods of revenue settlement Deva exploited by the money lenders who confiscated their land for failure to pay back their loans.
Indian sepoys being part of Indian society also suffered as they were prohibited from displaying religious marks and where Forbidden to wear cast and secretarial mark such as vermilion mark on the forehead or turban . they were order to shave their beards and there were unsatisfactory conditions of service. They were greatly contempt and address as pigs. they were paid very less and were forced to go overseas which was against their religion.
