Series arrangement is not used for connecting domestic electrical appliances in a circuit because

• if any one device stop working then all other devices connected to the circuit also do not work.
• Also same amount of current passes through various devices which is not required.
• Total resistance will be the sum of resistances of all the devices connected to the corcuit hence less current will be drawn from the circuit.Hence parallel arrangement is used. HOPE IT HELPS YOU.
