In this arrangement, if any one of the component stops working,then the circuit gets broken up and none of the device will work.
All the appliances have only one switch due to which they cannot be turned on or off separately.
The appliances do not get the same voltage (220V) as that of the power supply line.

- in a series attachment same current will flow through all the appliances which is not required in a domestic circuits
- since, in a series attachment, the total resistance will be sum of all the resistance of all appliances and hence current drawn by the circuit will be less.
- different individual switches cannot be used for different appliances.
