In Series circuit, If one electrical appliances stops working due to some defect, then all appliances will stop working.
In series circuits, all electrical switches will have common switch due to which they cannot be turned off/On separately.
In series circuit, The voltage [220v] will be divided across all electrical
appliances .
Overall resistance of circuit will increase due to which the current from power supply will be less.
Hence we prefer Parallel Circuits for domestic wiring.

Ciao ,
in series combination current is same.but as we know that in our homes evrything or evey instrument is not operate at same current. for example 9 volts is required for ringinfg bells .but for tv or iron its amount is different. so we use parallel combination which has same voltage that is commonly 240 volts and it givrs different values of currents to different equipments to operate.
hope it helps.stay blessed☺
