Since an individual is not fully capable of producing young ones right from birth the sex organs are not fully developed from birth

Explanation:

  • The development of sex organ in an animal is dependent on the sex hormones which is produced by the body.
  • The secretion of sex hormone usually increases when the person reaches adolescence period of life.
  • The sex organ causes the secretion of the gametes which are responsible for the production of the offsprings.
  • Even the production of the gamates is dependent on those hormones
  • Then the production of the sex hormones is the only way for proper reproduction of an individual which occurs only after adolescence.
