much like how the ocean is blue because it's a reflection of the sky, but a shadow has nothing to reflect off of.

you have shadow because something blocks ghe light ,so all object that don't get light,will appear black .so light is being reaching to the shadow. So there,is no chances of reflection .That why shadow are black in colour.
