why shivaliks is promed to landslide?

Shivalik is made of loosely packed gravel. A slight movement on the Earth's surface could create a landslide in that region.

Shiwaliks are made up of unconsolidated sediments brought down by rivers descending from the Himalayas . Since these are unconsolidated and loose , so the land isn’t much stable here . And in this way we can say that Shwaliks is prone to landslides
