A field should be ploughed only in the dry season due to the following reasons:

2. Ploughing increased soil texture and fertility which is difficult to maintain in time of dry seasons.
3. Helps in soil aeration that brings about a better growth of microorganisms that helps in the decomposition of the organic matter faster so that plants get proper nutrients.
