why should a person whose clothes are on fire not run

Someone whose clothes have caught fire is not advised to run ,as we know air supplements combustion running will provide the fire with more oxygen which will cause the increase in burning. to extinguish fire in such a situation one should roll on the ground or cover himself/herself with a blanket to cut off oxygen supply
