a current carrying solenoid has a large no of turns inside which a soft metallic core is placed . its tend to contract due to force between two loops of contracted wire

Answer:A solonid is made by winding large number of insulated wires. This, the turns of wire act parallel conductors caring current in same direction. There exists a force of attraction between two parallel current carrying conductors. Hence, the conductors attract each other. Due to the attractive forces between the two parallel conductors the solenoid tends to contract it's length.
