Acids reacts with metal to produce salt and hydrogen gas.
ACID + METAL --->SALT +HYDROGEN GAS
Mineral acid reacts with surface of metal and corrodes it . Hence we don't store aid in metal Containers. It should be store in inert materials like glass or plastics.
Even curd and pickles contains acid , if they are stored in metal containers it reacts with it and makes the food unsafe to eat.

HEY!!
Pickles have some kind of acids which generated naturally, due to which pickle's taste is sour. If it is stored in a metallic container,naturally generated acids will react with the metal & thus the compounds of metal can cause harm to health.
So pickles should not be stored in metal containers.
put a thin metal spoon in ur pickle jar after a period of time u will notice a small hole it.
