Why should all elements should have symbols? And why they must have symbols what happens if they don’t have it

Answer: As you learned, scientists standardized the short-hand way we represent elements, by their chemical symbol. One of the main reasons this was developed was because using letters was the easiest way to represent the elements. Another reason that we use chemical symbols is to allow us to write chemical formulas easily.Every element has a one- or two-letter abbreviation based either on its English name or its Latin or Greek name. The table below lists the atomic numbers, symbols, and names of all the elements, with the derivations for the symbols which are not of English origin.
