- Any food can cause weight gain if you eat too much. Whether your diet is high in fat or high in carbohydrates, if you frequently consume more energy than your body uses, you're likely to gain weight.
- Eating too much saturated fats in your diet can raise "bad" LDL cholesterol in your blood, which can increase the risk of heart disease and stroke.
- "Good" HDL cholesterol has a positive effect by taking cholesterol from parts of the body where there's too much of it to the liver, where it's disposed of.

Too much” is a bad thing.
Make sure that you get sufficient protein to maintain your muscle mass.
Fats are filling.Carbs are energy.Seek balance.
If you maintain a 500 Calorie deficit per day, Intake - basal metabolism - exertion, you will loose about 1 kg per week
.If you you meet that caloric need, you will maintain your weight.
If you exceed with a small surplus and resistance exercise, you should be able to gain muscle, which will intern allow you to eat more, look/feel/be healthy and fit, and not gain weight.
