Separation of biodegradable and non biodegradable wastes in two separate dustbins is the step to efficient waste management. Biodegradable wastes gets decomposed by the microorganisms like bacteria. Whereas the other waste should be disposed wisely so that it doesn't harm the environment. So they recycle and reuse it. Thus separating these two waste helps us in managing the wastes properly.

Answer:

Biodegradable and non-biodegradable wastes should be discarded in two different dustbins so that they can be collected separately. ... Non-biodegradable wastes can be sent for recycling. If the two wastes are collected in a single bin, they would mix and may form toxic compounds which can cause pollution.
