Child labour can mean many different types of work, and it is only objectionable when the work places the child in dangerous or demanding conditions. Child labour is an economic necessity in some societies such as farming communities; in these societies, children need to contribute financially to put food on the table. Nearly all farm families put children to work at young ages.

Answer:

Child labour should be eliminated because it takes away from the child his childhood and the prospect of elementary education. Moreover, since the child labourers are cheap, and consequently engaged in hazardous and dangerous employment, they are often vulnerable to mental and physical illness.
