Curd and sour substances aren't kept in brass and copper vessels as if it is done then chemical reaction will take place between the sour substance and the metal leading to formation of new chemicals which are unfit for human consumption. Moreover, formation of new substances also leads to corossion of the brass or copper metal thereby destroying both the metal as well as the sour substance.
