Both the Curd and sour substances are acids. Acids react with metals to produce salt and hydrogen gas. So, if such substances are kept in a copper container, the acid will react and the container will be corroded. Thereby may spoil the food.

If Curd or sour substances containing acid are kept in brass or copper vessels (metal) they will react along with the metal vessels and produce metal oxide and hydrogen gases and the acid (curd or other sour substance) will become neutralized and maybe lose it taste.
Please don't keep Curd or another acidic substance in a metal or Plastic as Plastic is bad for the environment. You could use glass or earthen pot for storing acidic substances.
