why should curd andsour substance not be kept in brass and copper vessels ?

Because every sour substance contain acid and brass and copper react quickly with acid and acid will starts continuously to removing the layer and molecules of copper and brass.

When curd is kept in copper vessels or brass vessels they react with it and forms too toxic substance which on consumption may kill the consumer.
