Why should every accused be held innocent until proven guilty? Otherwise what will happen if this is not so?

law says if we have 100 accused we should not punish one also unless they are found guilty

ANSWER:

It is the law of the court that every accused be held innocent until he is proved to be guilty. If it is not a case then there is many chance that innocent people can be punished.

EXPLANATION:

When a person is in court he is assumed as to be innocent this is because the advocate who is from opposite side prove that the person is guilty. If it is a case when the person is assumed guilty before it is proved then there are many chance that the judge will give the judgement against the person.

It is because he is assumed guilty from the start. As a result there is a fair chance of innocent person being punished. Therefore it is a law given by the court that a person held is assumed to be innocent until he is proved guilty.
