Answer: Our atom is a sphere not a square because of its nucleus. As all the planets revolve around the sun in circular orbits due to its gravitational force same like that all the electrons in a atoms revolve around the nucleus because of interaction forces between them. This produces a spherical model.

So that's why atom do not have a square shape.
