This communication is in the form of a prayer or a confession or a thank note and this communication has profound effect on their state of mind. It is just this vent that keeps some people hopeful and prevents them from going into depression. For some other people, these places are to reflect upon themselves in a peaceful manner as, in general, religious places are filled with peace and positivity. It helps them to understand themselves better through meditation or prayer and seek higher forms of awareness and truth. It is also said that many ancient temples are built in precise locations that have the best energies to help someone who is in a spiritual path to attain their goal in an easier manner.

So, instead of questioning why one should visit temples or mosques or churches, think why not? It may just help you in some or the other level mentioned above. You may be a believer or an atheist; but you can choose whether to spend a minuscule amount of time in your life to try out something that our ancestors have believed and put in so much effort on or just close your vents in denial.
