Why should POP be stored in air tight containers?

Ur answer.. ⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇⬇  》POP is Plaster Of Paris which is chemically called Calcium sulphate hemihydrate. 》Formula of POP is  CaSO4.1/2H20  》But when it is mixed with water, it gives the formation of Gypsum i.e.  CaSO4.1/2H20 + 3/2H20 -> CaSO4.2H2O..  》Gypsum is also known as the solid(Setted) cement..  So,, its clear that the main reason to store POP in air tight containers in order to prevent it from reacting with the moisture that is present in air, so that it will not converted to Gypsum.  HOPE IT WILL HELP U..
