WHY SHOULD REMAINDER BE SUBTRACTED HERE
" Find the largest number which will divide the numbers 125, 175 and 275 to leave remainders of 5, 7 and 11 respectively"

I will edit my answer after your answer, do you mean why remainder should NOT be subtracted as our mam made the quotient be subtracted.
