why should seeds be treated with fungi sides before showing

Fungicides are chemical agents that kill fungi and fungal spores. Seeds are treated with fungicides and other biocidal compounds before sowing to disinfect them from soil-borne or seed-borne pathogenic fungi present on seed surface. It prevents spreading of fungal-borne plant disease and improves seed germination.
