Why should the resistance of :; (a) an ammeter be very small?; (b) a voltmeter be very large?

The reason of ammeter resistance to below its because it can accuratly read the cureent flowing in a circuit.when the ammeter resistance is low,almost all the current in the circuit is allowed to pass through the ammeter.

A voltmeter measures the voltage difference between twodifferent points,but it should not change the amount of current between the conductor.so it should have high resistance.
