It depends on individual thinking when it comes to decide whether Central Government or Federal Government should hold more power or State must be given more.
Many believe State must be given more powers to decide on things like economic decisions, taxes and moral decisions.
State acquires taxes but nation has to decide how much of it can be taken as revenue from state.

It requires a longer process to be continued for any case to reach the central government so state government should be authorized to take certain immediate and necessary actions in their hand to prevent crimes.
