Explanation:the reaction between water and sulphuric acid is highly exothermic reaction. It can even break the beaker. Thus, to prevent any accident sulphuric acid should be added drop by drop to water and not water to acid cause while doing this the amount of heat evolved is so small that it doesn't causes any mahor change in the temperature.
