why should water not be mixed with acid ?​

If you add acid to water, the solution that forms is very dilute and the small amount of heat released is not enough to vaporize and spatter it.

the reaction between water and acid is a highly exothermic and is highly fatal for the people which are mixing them hence water should not be mixed with acid because the reaction can cause burns also
