The reason for its acceptance are:

a. The Constitution not just reflects the ideas of the members of the Constituent Assembly but expresses broad consensus of its time, as the assembly was partly elected and partly representative body.

b. The Constitution frames unified rules that are to be abided by every citizen, hence promote equality.

c.The Constituent Assembly represented the people of India. There was no Universal Adult Franchise at that time. So, the Constituent Assembly could not have been chosen directly by all the people of India but it was elected mainly by the members of Provincial Legislatures, which ensured a fair share of all the regions of the country.

d.The Constituent Assembly worked in a systematic, open and consensual manner.
