The Constitution of India is the supreme law of India.[1] It lays down the framework defining fundamental political principles, establishes the structure, procedures, powers and duties of government institutions and sets out fundamental rights, directive principles and the duties of citizens. It is the longest written constitution of any sovereign country in the world.[Note 1][2] B. R. Ambedkar, the chairman of the Drafting Committee, is widely considered to be its chief architect.

We should accept the Constitution which is more than 60 years old because it has the basic principles of liberty, fraternity, equality, justice, etc.

This Question mostly arises because of the condition and generation gap of 60 years which is a very long time and many social changes have taken place.

We should accept the Constitution because of its fundamental nature of Humanity.
And You also need to know that The main reason for accepting it is the "AMENDMENTS" or changes which can be brought into the constitution if the need arises. Our Constitution is neither too flexible nor too rigid and it can undergo Amendments easily but its basic principles are always preserved.

Because of Amendments It is also called "THE LIVING DOCUMENT" because Changes are significant of Life. If Life is there changes will be there and Dead don't undergo any change. Changes are important and our Constitution is designed in such a way to adapt these changes.

This is the reason we shall accept the constitution made 60 years before.
