Q. Why should we avoid standing close to a tuberculosis patient while he/she is coughing?

ANSWER :

What is Tuberculosis?
It is an air-borne disease, that can be spread when a infected person coughs.

When the tuberculosis patient coughs the germs get suspended in the atmosphere (air).

If the germs inhaled by a healthy person, who would be present near the tuberculosis patient will suffer from the tuberculosis disease.

So, we should always stay away or keep distance between tuberculosis patients and avoid standing close/near to them.
