We should not discriminate with TB patients. Rather patient should be advised to take certain precaution to avoid spread of disease, he should cover his mouth and nose while coughing or sneezing, proper sputum disposable and take regular treatment. Answer.............

The main reason why we should avoid standing near to a person who is suffering from tuberculosis while he/she is coughing is that tuberculosis is a disease that is air-borne; meaning it spreads easily when the patient coughs. The tuberculosis is a transformable infection,  tuberculosis virus is the virus that spreads this disease. Accordingly, we can also get infected with this disease and hence we should avoid standing with a person who is suffering from tuberculosis.
