Why should we breathe only through the nose and not through the mouth

nose is the one to breath,of we breath through moth it will take more energy and effort, however we cant always open our mouth and take the oxygen.

Because nostril are smaller than mouth, air exhaled through the nose creates a back flow of air into lungs. And because we exhale more slowly through the nose than we do through mouth, the lungs have more time to extract oxygen from the air we had already taken.
