Hello friend, here is your answer.
The variety of life on earth is commonly referred to as biodiversity. It plays an important role in the functioning of food chains and food webs. It helps to maintain the ecological balance of ecosystems. Conserving biodiversity is very important as a group of organisms has an important role to play in an ecosystem. For example, if the deer in a forest are killed, the population of lion will also decrease as the animal will not get sufficient food. The population of scavengers the remains of the animals killed by lion and other will also be affected. To preserve this, the Government of India is setting up biosphere reserves, national parks and wildlife sanctuaries in different parts of the country. International Day For Biological Diversity is celebrated on 22 MAY 2009.
Hope it helps you.

As we know that, the biodiversity is the base for survival of every living organisms. We get every possible thing from it which is needed to live on the earth. It gives us food to eat, air to breathe and water to drink. Biodiversity includes the plants and animals. And we know how much these are important for us. We are dependent directly or indirectly on them. Animals have legal and recreational value. Forests are the home of wildlife and somewhat tourist place also. These are the things we have got from our ancestors and so it is our responsibility to conserve them for our future generation. If we become irresponsible then our future generation would face the scarcity of natural things. Also the ecosystem would suffer. For example, if we cut the forests, then the wildlife will come on verge of extinction. We have also seen some organism being extinct. On the whole our survival would not possible if we harm our biodiversity.
