In the half leaf experiment we study two leaves, because,
in the experiment the observation comes-
The leaves turns blue-black except in the convered region. As this covered region did not receive the light,photosynthesis did not occur. Hence, no Strach was formed there.
the uncovered region received light and starch was formed there due to photosynethsis.

We should examine 2 leaves in Mohl's Half Leaf experiment because when we take 2 leaves then
- The leaf which has been experimented gives one result
- The other which was not experimented will have no result
- By comparing those two we can observe the changes between experimented and non-experimented
But actually we take only one leaf that is too not full. The name itself indicates that Half leaf Experiment. So the question doesn't make any sense
