Why should we have standard unit of measurement?explain giving example

for having scientific calculations.fr example units of weight are gram,pound and kilogram.
but standard unit used fr scientific calculations all over the world is kilogram

we should have a standard unit of measurement because different units are used in various countries and if we don't have an si unit it can lead to much confusion amongst people and also we can't use body parts like hand or finger so we need it.hope it helps and pls follow if you like
