why should we never sleep in a closed room with burning oil lamp ​

Two reasons.

First is the flame will burn the O2 in the room you need to breath. It might not sound like much but a simple flame takes about as much O2 an hour to live as you do.

Secondly generally the oils burn and release other gasses in the form of smoke (even if you cant see it). These gasses are very dense and will fill up your room pushing out any O2 that might have remained.

Many people die from this, using propane heaters in closed areas during the winter. This is a real thing and the laws of physics are not your friend here…. You can and will most likely die, don’t ever do this. Not even once.
